The Kunsthalle Krems-Stein in Stein an der Donau is an international exhibition house in Lower Austria, which was built from 1992 to 1995 according to the plans of the architect Adolf Krischanitz in the former tobacco factory of the Tabakregie in the Stein district. From June 2016 to July 2017, the Kunsthalle was temporarily closed, as it was completely renovated at a cost of 3.5 million euros and reopened on 1 July 2017. Among other things, the Minorite Church served as alternative quarters.
2. Karikaturmuseum
The Caricature Museum Krems is the only Austrian museum for satirical art and is primarily dedicated to political caricature, humorous drawing, comics and illustrations. It is located in Krems-Stein (Lower Austria) - in the middle of the Kunstmeile Krems - in the immediate vicinity of the Kunsthalle Krems and the Landesgalerie Niederösterreich.

5. Mauterner Brücke
The Mauterner Bridge, formerly known as the Stein-Mauterner Bridge, is a bridge over the Danube between Stein, the district of Krems an der Donau that was incorporated in 1938, and Mautern an der Donau in Lower Austria. The Aggsteiner Straße B33a runs over it.
6. Piaristenkirche
The Piarist Church in Krems on the Danube, also known as the Frauenberg Church in Krems, is the oldest church in the city. The Roman Catholic church was possibly dedicated to St. Stephen, the patron saint of the diocese of Passau.

In the 19th century, the old convent church of the Stein prison was the church of the Redemptorist convent in Stein an der Donau. It was built in the course of the monastery construction from 1839 to 1843.

10. Pulverturm
The Powder Tower in Krems on the Danube is a massive round tower that forms the northeast corner of the former city fortifications and thus towers over the city situation when approaching the city from the east. Because of its characteristic location, it could be described as the second landmark of Krems. As part of the city wall, it dates from the end of the 15th century (1477), but it was originally flat-roofed and served as a battery tower.

The Frauenbergkirche Mariae Himmelfahrt in Stein an der Donau, a district of Krems an der Donau, is a former church and since the mid-1960s a memorial to the fallen of both world wars. It was built in the 14th century on a rock terrace above the parish church of St. Nicholas and is connected to it by the steep Frauenbergstiege. The tower, popularly known as Alter Michl, characterises the townscape of Stein.

13. Steiner Tor
Steiner Tor is a preserved gate, originally built in the late 15th century but refashioned in the Baroque style in the city of Krems an der Donau, in the Wachau valley of Austria. It is considered the symbol of the city. Until the last third of the 19th century, the city of Krems was surrounded by a wall. This was systematically razed, and three gates were also removed. From 2005, celebrating the 700-year anniversary of the city rights, the Steiner Tor was restored as much to its original as possible.
