The beguinage of Hasselt is one of the so-called walled square type, located northeast within the Groene Boulevard adjacent to the Jenever Museum in the Witte Nonnenstraat, the Bonnefantenstraat, the Zuivelmarkt, the Badderijstraat and the Hasselt Limburg library. In its current form, the beguinage consists of a V-shaped series of thirteen houses with a courtyard situated around a square of 60 ares laid out as a garden, in which the ruins of the former beguinage church have been preserved. The current beguinage is the third beguinage in history.

The Oud Kerkhof is a cemetery in Hasselt located on the Kempische Steenweg, north of the city center. The cemetery was in use from about 1800 to 1930. It is an example of a park cemetery as they were laid out in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. It has been a protected monument since 2004.

The Virga Jesse Basilica is a basilica, formerly known as the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk, in Hasselt, Belgium. It dates back to the 14th century, approximately 1334. The original chapel was replaced with the current church, which was completed in 1731. Prior to being elevated to the status of a basilica by Pope John Paul II in 1998, it was considered an auxiliary church of the church of St. Quentin, now St. Quentin Cathedral. The church and neighboring houses were heavily damaged by bombing during World War II in 1944. The rebuilt church, now the third church to be built in the same place, was dedicated to the then-bishop of Liège in 1951.

St. Quintin's Cathedral, dedicated to Quintinus, is located in the center of Hasselt. St. Quintin's Church became a cathedral when the diocese of Hasselt was founded in 1967. Until then, the inhabitants of the province of Limburg were members of the diocese of Liège. It is also the parish church of St. Quentin's parish. The cathedral choir enlivens the pontifical celebrations.
