4. Cappella dei Santi Cosma e Damiano

The Chapel of Saints Cosmas and Damian is located in the oldest part of the historic center of the city of Angri. It is also known by the name of Pisacane Chapel, from the name of their first owners and founders, but also by the name of Montevergine Chapel, from the name of the altarpiece inside and depicting the Madonna di Montevergine. Of medieval origins, it stands incorporated into an ancient building that dates back to the eighteenth century, accessible from the ground floor of the building, in the oldest street of the city, in Via di Mezzo, more precisely in the east side street called Via dell'Angelo.

The Doria Castle is located in the town of Angri, a small town in the province of Salerno. It is a castle that belonged to the Doria family, who in the seventeenth century bought the fief 'Angri' for the considerable sum of 40,100 ducats. In 1908 the Doria family sold the castle, including the villa, to the municipal administration for 90,000 lire.
