The Aeschylus Theatre, owned by the municipality, is the oldest in the town of Gela in Sicily. Of nineteenth-century origin, the current building is the result of the renovation carried out in the last decade on the structure already remodeled in the first half of the twentieth century. Permanently closed in 1981, the theatre reopened its doors on February 27, 2013.

The Greek Baths of Gela are ancient baths which were discovered in 1957, near the Ospizio di Mendicità on via Europa, Capo Soprano, which date to the Hellenistic period. Like the rest of the city, the baths were demolished in 282 BC after the conquest of the city by the Akragantine tyrant Phintias.
