Kusatsu Tropical Zone is a zoo located in Kusatsu Town, Agatsuma District, Gunma Prefecture. It is situated at the highest altitude of any zoo in Japan, and it has the largest variety and number of reptiles among zoos in the Kanto region. Pets are also allowed when entering the zoo. The facilities utilize hot spring heat.

2. Mt. Shirane

Mount Kusatsu-Shirane is a 2,165 m (7,103 ft) active stratovolcano in Kusatsu, Gunma, Japan. It is called Kusatsu Shirane to differentiate it from the Mount Nikkō-Shirane on the other side of Gunma Prefecture. The summit of Kusatsu-Shirane volcano, located immediately north of Asama volcano, consists of a series of overlapping pyroclastic cones and three crater lakes. The largest of these is Yu-gama, an acidic emerald green lake with rafts of yellow sulfur sometimes seen floating on its surface.

5. 草津宿本陣

Kusatsu-juku honjin (草津宿本jin) is the honjin of Kusatsu-juku located in Kusatsu, Shiga Prefecture, Japan. The owner was called Tanaka Shichizaemon for generations, and was called "Tanaka Shichizaemon Honjin". The other honjin in Kusatsu-juku was also the Tanaka family (Tanaka Kuzoya), and in order to distinguish the two houses, the Shichizaemon honjin, which ran a timber business, was also called "Kiya Honjin". It is one of the largest surviving sites and buildings, and has been designated as a national historic site.

7. 小汐井神社

Oshioi Shrine is a shrine located on Oji, Kusatsu City, Shiga Prefecture, Japan. As the first temple of Nakasendo, it has been deeply worshipped by travelers. It is also worshipped by the surrounding clans as a god of easy childbirth. The company name "Oshioi" refers to the fact that in ancient times, when people worshipped a god, they first went into the sea, cleaned themselves with the sea tide, and then attended the Shinto ceremony. The village of "Oshioi" became the village of "Ojii", and since it was difficult to read the place name, it was changed to "Oji" village due to the revision of the residence label.

The Mizunomori Water Botanical Garden , also known as the Kusatsu Aquatic Botanical Garden, is a botanical garden specializing in aquatic plants and best known for its extensive lotus display. Mizu-no-mori means "water forest" in Japanese. It is located on Lake Biwa's southeastern shore on the Karasuma Peninsula in Oroshimo-cho, Kusatsu, Shiga, Japan, and open daily except Mondays. An admission fee is charged.

11. 嫗仙の滝

Ōsen no Taki is a waterfall located in the town of Kusatsu, Azuma District, Gunma Prefecture, Japan. The drop is 25m. Near the waterfall is the "Katsura of Changsen Falls", which was selected as one of the 100 best giants of the forest.
