Akiyoshido is a limestone cave located 100-200 meters underground in Akiyoshidai in the eastern part of Mine City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, and is open to the public with a tourist path of about 1 km. It is the largest limestone cave in Japan. An underground river flows down from Kotogabuchi at the back of the cave to the cave mouth for about 1 km. As a result of a diving survey from Kotogabuchi to the back by cave explorers around 1990, it was connected to Kuzuga-hole, which is about 2.5 km to the east, and the total length reached 8,850 m.
