1. Archeon
Archeon is an archeological open air and living museum in Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands that opened in 1994. In Alphen an ancient Roman military fortress has been established around 40, the settlement was given the Latin name Albaniana.
2. Adventskerk (PKN)
The Advent Church is a church of the Reformed Church of Alphen aan den Rijn. The Church is located right in the center of Alphen aan den Rijn. After the 'Nieuwe Kerk' on this spot was destroyed by fire, construction began in 1920. The church was officially inaugurated in 1922. The church is a municipal monument.
3. De Dikke Molen
The Dikke Molen is located near the town of Zwammerdam, north of the Oude Rijn. The mill was previously owned by the De Aarlanden Water Board, but became privately owned in 1988. The polder mill used to drain the Zuid- and Noordeinderpolder.
4. Steektermolen
The Steektermolen is a seesaw mill about 1 km west of Zwammerdam, south of the Oude Rijn. Since 1 July 2018, the mill has been owned by the Rijnlandse Molenstichting, previously it was owned by the Rijnland Water Board, Wilck and Wiericke Water Board. The polder mill drained the polder Steekt and now does so on a voluntary basis.
5. Vrouwgeestmolen
The Vrouwgeestmolen in Alphen aan den Rijn is an octagonal wooden polder mill built in 1797 that drained the Vrouwgeest polder until 1968. Until 1970, the Vrouwgeestmolen was owned by the polder, after which it was sold to the Rijnlandse Molenstichting. The mill now drains the Vrouwgeest polder on a voluntary basis.
6. Julius Albanianus
Julius Albanianus is an 8 meter high flat (flat) statue of a Roman soldier, he stands along the N11 (highway) in the municipality of Alphen aan den Rijn. The statue was unveiled by Archeon in collaboration with the municipality and the province of South Holland on 19 December 2016.
