2. Apenheul

Apenheul Primate Park is a zoo in Apeldoorn, Netherlands. It specializes in apes and monkeys. It opened in 1971 and was the first zoo in the world where monkeys could walk around freely in the forest and between the visitors. It started with just a few species, now it displays more than 30 different primates, among them bonobo, gorilla and orangutan.

The museum is located in Het Loo Palace, which was converted into a museum in 1984, and in the Royal Stables. St. Mary's Church, officially the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, is a Roman Catholic church on the Hoofdstraat in the Dutch city of Apeldoorn. The construction of the neo-Gothic church began in 1895 under architect J.W. Boerbooms, but was completed by Jos Cuypers and Jan Stuyt due to his death in 1899. The church building replaced an older church from 1846 by Gerard te Riele. Since January 2010, the church has been the main church of the then established Emmaus parish, which also included the Teresa Church, the Emmanuel Church and the Victor Church. Since January 1, 2013, all other churches have been closed, so St. Mary's Church is now the only church used by the parish.

7. Julianatoren

Julianatoren is an amusement park which is located in the municipality of Apeldoorn. The park is built around the Queen Juliana Tower, which was built in 1910, and is currently a rijksmonument. The tower was built next to Het Loo Palace, to celebrate the birth of Queen Juliana of the Netherlands at the palace in 1909. Originally the tower was called Prinses Juliana Toren between 1910 and 1948, with an interval during the Second World War between 1940 and 1945 when it was called Juliana Toren. They are 450,000 visitors in 2009.

8. Koningin Wilhelmina

The Statue of Queen Wilhelmina stands in front of the Grote or Koninginnekerk on the Loolaan in Apeldoorn. The bronze statue is 1.92 M high and was made by the artist Greet Grottendieck, commissioned by the Apeldoorn Rotary. The statue was unveiled on 5 September 1998 by Princess Margriet.
