The Roman ruins of Milreu are the remains of an important Roman villa rustica located in the civil parish of Estói in the municipality of Faro, Portugal, classified as a Monumento Nacional. The Milreu ruins constitute the most prominent and well preserved evidence of Roman presence in the Algarve. They are mainly composed of the remnants of a once luxurious villa with annexed thermae and several surrounding buildings, including a temple, mausoleum and industrial and commercial structures. The archaeological site still preserves part of the once exuberant mosaics that decorated the floor and walls of the villa. A 16th century house is also located in the area, alongside an interpretation centre.

The Fialho Palace is a "remarkable" two-storey building in Faro, with attics and is located near the Hermitage of Santo António do Alto. At the request of the industrialist João Júdice Fialho, the architect Manuel Norte Júnior conceived an architectural project that was a revivalist of French classical art. Construction began in 1915 but was not completed until 1925. In 1954 it was acquired by the Diocese of the Algarve, and since that time it has been the Colégio de Nossa Senhora do Alto.

The Chapel of São Luís is a building in Faro. Located on the old outskirts of the city, this religious temple is located in front of the stadium of the same name. It is a seventeenth-century construction with deep remodeling at the beginning of the nineteenth century on the initiative of Bishop Dom Francisco Gomes do Avelar and stamp of the Genoese architect Francisco Xavier Fabri. It has a neoclassical carved altarpiece on the main altar.

The Cabo de Santa Maria Lighthouse is a Portuguese lighthouse located on Culatra Island, city and district of Faro, in front of Olhão in the Algarve. Implemented at about 2,500 meters to Cabo de Santa Maria's ene and from Barra Nova, a channel whose definitive opening, in the first quarter of the twentieth century, to service the ports of Faro and Olhão, caused the division of Cabo de Santa Island Mary in two parts - Culatro and Barreta.

Faro Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Faro, Portugal. The cathedral was consecrated in the name of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the late 13th century by the Archbishop of Braga. It has been the seat of the Diocese of Faro since 1540, replacing Silves Cathedral on the orders of King John III of Portugal. In 1596 the church was destroyed by the Earl of Essex. The cathedral is a National Monument of Portugal.

The Church of São Pedro is located in the city of Faro and is a primitive hermitage built by sailors. It was enlarged due to the transfer of the new parish headquarters, and was completely rebuilt in the mid-16th century.
