The Statue of Peace, often shortened to Sonyeosang in Korean or Shōjo-zō in Japanese and sometimes called the Comfort Woman Statue , is a symbol of the victims of sexual slavery, known euphemistically as comfort women, by the Japanese military during World War II, specifically, the period from the beginning of the Second Sino-Japanese War until the end of the Pacific War. The Statue of Peace was first erected in Seoul to urge the Japanese government to apologize to and honour the victims. However, it has since become a site of representational battles among different parties.

Temi is an area of Daejeon Metropolitan City where buildings that were used as official residences, including the Chungcheongnam Governor's Office, are concentrated. In the past, it was called Kwansa Village, but it was changed to its current name through a public offering in 2018. In Temi-long, Temi is the name of the village where the official cousin is located, and "Temi-long" means "come to Temi" and "Temi's long history". As a related law, the "Daejeon Metropolitan City Temi Long Establishment and Operation Ordinance" has been enacted.

The Daejeon Dunsan Prehistoric Site (大田 屯山 先史遺蹟地) is a place where Paleolithic, Neolithic, and Bronze Age remains have been excavated in Wolpyeong-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon. On October 28, 1992, it was designated as Daejeon Metropolitan City Monument No. 28.

The Chungcheongnam Governor's Office (忠淸南道知事公館) is a building of the Japanese colonial period in Jung-gu, Daejeon. On August 23, 2002, it was designated as the 49th Cultural Property of Daejeon Metropolitan City. It is believed that the Daejeon Agreement was signed in 1950 at the Chungcheongnam Governor's Residence, which was the temporary official residence of then-President Rhee Seung-man.

The former Choheung Bank Daejeon Branch (formerly 朝興銀行 大田支店) is the Daejeon branch of Choheung Bank, established in 1951 in Dong-gu, Daejeon, and is the 20th National Registered Cultural Property of the Republic of Korea. It is currently used as Shinhan Bank's Daejeon Financial Center. It is a two-story reinforced concrete structure and is a modernist building that excludes ornamentation.

The former Chungcheong Branch of the Daejeon National Agricultural Products Quality Control Institute (大田 國立農産物品質管理院 舊 忠淸支院) is a two-story brick government office building with a gathering roof built shortly after the liberation of Korea in 1950 in Jung-gu, Daejeon. On September 4, 2004, it was designated as the 100th Registered Cultural Property of the Republic of Korea.
