Sant Esteve de Caldes is a church in the town of Caldes de Malavella included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia. It had been the possession of the monastery of Sant Salvador de Breda. It is mentioned as early as 1058, in a restitution made by the Countess Ermesindis to Berenguer Dalmau, Bishop of Girona. Other documents that cite it are from the twelfth century, the thirteenth century (1264), the fourteenth century (1362) and the seventeenth century (1691). Also noteworthy is a Roman tombstone found when lifting the slabs from the ground in a last reform, in memory of "Lucio Emiliano Celaciano, of the Quirina tribe", and the sarcophagus with inscription, a tombstone from 1270 commemorating Berenguer Lambardus. The bell tower has been modified as well as the church, which has undergone different reforms over the centuries. The side chapels and the main façade are the result of eighteenth-century reforms.

Sant Grau

The hermitage of Sant Grau is located in the town centre of Caldes de Malavella, at the top of the hill of the same name and right next to the Roman baths. On the same hill there could have been the castle of Caldes mentioned in documents of the eleventh century. On October 3, the festival is celebrated. It is a work that is part of the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia. The origin of the chapel is not known, but it could have been part of the castle of Caldes both because of its location, near the thermal baths where the castle is built, and also because of the configuration of its rear wall, made of stone in a row wall and loophole.
