Can Trinxeria, often mentioned by the incorrect name of Can Trincheria, is one of the most important manor houses in Olot. It was built in the first half of the eighteenth century, although the current result is the product of different extensions and subsequent reforms. Its name is due to the fact that since its origins it has been inhabited by the Trinxeria lineage. The Trinxeria are originally from Prats de Molló, a town in Roussillon that in 1659 passed to France by virtue of the Treaty of the Pyrenees.
