Sightseeing Tours in Palafrugell1. Sant Sebastià
The Sant Sebastià lighthouse is located in the town of Palafrugell. Inaugurated on October 1, 1857, its span reaches up to 32 nautical miles, which makes it the most powerful on the Catalan coast. It is located 169 meters above sea level. It is included in the Monumental Complex of San Sebastián de la Guarda.
2. Poblat Ibèric de Sant Sebastià de la Guarda
Sant Sebastià de la Guarda or Sant Sebastià de la Guaita is an Iberian village located in the municipality of Palafrugell, in the Baix Empordà. It can be accessed from Palafrugell via the motorway that goes to Llafranc and from there to the Sant Sebastià lighthouse, or by the road that goes from Palafrugell to Tamariu. In this case, you must take a detour (indicated) that leads to the top of the mountain of San Sebastián. The site is located at the top of the mountain, at an altitude of 156 meters above sea level. 3. Teatre Municipal de Palafrugell
The Municipal Theater of Palafrugell (TMP) was inaugurated on May 7, 1999. It has a capacity for 470 people and, in addition to the theater room, consists of an exhibition hall on the first floor and an assembly hall on the second floor. In 1985, the Palafrugell City Council, chaired by Lluís Medira, bought the estate where the then called Victoria Cinema was located for 25 million pesetas. On July 29, 1988, the Palafrugell City Council approved the project for the rehabilitation of the Municipal Theater of Palafrugell. The project consists of demolishing part of the works carried out in the Theater and raising it again to expand the capacity. The work began in 1992. Both the opposition and some entities criticized these changes in the works. The Cineclub Garbí manages the film screenings that take place in the room.
4. Ermita de Sant Sebastià de la Guarda
The hermitage of Sant Sebastià de la Guarda is a church on the mountain of Sant Sebastià in the municipality of Palafrugell. Together with the tower of San Sebastián and the inn, it is part of the complex of the sanctuary of San Sebastián. It is included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia and is included in the Monumental Complex of Sant Sebastià de la Guarda.
