The Annunciation Cathedral is the main Orthodox church of Kharkiv, Ukraine. The pentacupolar Neo-Byzantine structure with a distinctive 80-meter-tall bell tower was completed on 2 October 1888, from designs by a local architect, Mikhail Lovtsov. The church was consecrated in 1901, and the earlier Annunciation church was then pulled down.

The Mikoyan MiG-29 is a twin-engine fighter aircraft designed in the Soviet Union. Developed by the Mikoyan design bureau as an air superiority fighter during the 1970s, the MiG-29, along with the larger Su-27, was developed to counter U.S. fighters such as the F-15 Eagle and the F-16 Fighting Falcon. The MiG-29 entered service with the Soviet Air Forces in 1983.

The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 is a supersonic jet fighter and interceptor aircraft, designed by the Mikoyan-Gurevich Design Bureau in the Soviet Union. Its nicknames include: "Balalaika", because its planform resembles the stringed musical instrument of the same name; "Ołówek", Polish for "pencil", due to the shape of its fuselage, and "Én Bạc", meaning "silver swallow", in Vietnamese.

The Mil Mi-24 is a large helicopter gunship, attack helicopter and low-capacity troop transport with room for eight passengers. It is produced by Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and was introduced by the Soviet Air Force in 1972. The helicopter is currently in use by 58 countries.

5. Т-72Б

The T-72 is a family of Soviet main battle tanks that entered production in 1973. The T-72 was a development based on the T-64 using thought and design of the previous Object 167M. About 25,000 T-72 tanks have been built, and refurbishment has enabled many to remain in service for decades. It has been widely exported and has seen service in 40 countries and in numerous conflicts. The Russian T-90 introduced in 1992 and the Chinese Type 99 are further developments of the T-72. Production and development of various modernized T-72 models continues today. Currently holds the record for the most MBT's lost in combat.

The Sukhoi Su-27 is a Soviet-origin twin-engine supersonic supermaneuverable fighter aircraft designed by Sukhoi. It was intended as a direct competitor for the large US fourth-generation jet fighters such as the Grumman F-14 Tomcat and McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle, with 3,530-kilometre (1,910 nmi) range, heavy aircraft ordnance, sophisticated avionics and high maneuverability. The Su-27 was designed for air superiority missions, and subsequent variants are able to perform almost all aerial warfare operations. It was designed with the Mikoyan MiG-29 as its complement.

7. Су-25

The Sukhoi Su-25 Grach is a subsonic, single-seat, twin-engine jet aircraft developed in the Soviet Union by Sukhoi. It was designed to provide close air support for Soviet Ground Forces. The first prototype made its maiden flight on 22 February 1975. After testing, the aircraft went into series production in 1978 in Tbilisi in the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic.

The Sukhoi Su-24 is a supersonic, all-weather tactical bomber developed in the Soviet Union. The aircraft has a variable-sweep wing, twin engines and a side-by-side seating arrangement for its crew of two. It was the first of the USSR's aircraft to carry an integrated digital navigation/attack system.

Vladimir Semyonovich Vysotsky was a Soviet singer-songwriter, poet, and actor who had an immense and enduring effect on Soviet culture. He became widely known for his unique singing style and for his lyrics, which featured social and political commentary in often-humorous street jargon. He was also a prominent stage- and screen-actor. Though the official Soviet cultural establishment largely ignored his work, he was remarkably popular during his lifetime and has exerted significant influence on many of Russia's musicians and actors.

The Mil Mi-8 is a medium twin-turbine helicopter, originally designed by the Soviet Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI) in the 1960s and introduced into the Soviet Air Force in 1968. Russian production of the aircraft model still continues as of 2024. In addition to its most common role as a transport helicopter, the Mi-8 is also used as an airborne command post, armed gunship, and reconnaissance platform.

The BRDM-2 is an amphibious armoured scout car designed and developed in the Soviet Union. It was also known under the designations BTR-40PB, BTR-40P-2 and GAZ 41-08. This vehicle, like many other Soviet designs, has been exported extensively and is in use in at least 38 countries. It was intended to replace the older BRDM-1, and has improved amphibious capabilities and better armament compared to its predecessor. The BRDM-2 production continues in Poland as of 2022.

Yaroslav I Vladimirovich, better known as Yaroslav the Wise, was Grand Prince of Kiev from 1019 until his death in 1054. He was also earlier Prince of Novgorod from 1010 to 1034 and Prince of Rostov from 987 to 1010, uniting the principalities for a time. Yaroslav's baptismal name was George after Saint George.

The BTR-80 is an 8×8 wheeled amphibious armoured personnel carrier (APC) designed in the Soviet Union. It was adopted in 1985 and replaced the previous vehicles, the BTR-60 and BTR-70, in the Soviet Army. It was first deployed during the Soviet–Afghan War.

The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-19 is a Soviet second generation, single-seat, twinjet fighter aircraft. It was the first Soviet production aircraft capable of supersonic speeds in level flight. A comparable U.S. "Century Series" fighter was the North American F-100 Super Sabre, although the MiG-19 primarily fought against the more modern McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II and Republic F-105 Thunderchief over North Vietnam. This aircraft was originally used by the Soviet Union but it was later used by the People's Liberation Army Air Force of China.

The Mil Mi-2 is a small, three rotor blade Soviet-designed multi-purpose helicopter developed by the Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant, designed in the early 1960s and produced exclusively by WSK "PZL-Świdnik" in Poland. Nearly 5500 were made by the time production stopped in 1999, and it remains in service globally.

19. М-30

The 122 mm howitzer M1938 (M-30) is a Soviet 121.92 mm (4.8 inch) howitzer. The weapon was developed by the design bureau of Motovilikha Plants, headed by F. F. Petrov, in the late 1930s, and was in production from 1939 to 1955. The M-30 saw action in World War II, mainly as a divisional artillery piece of the Red Army (RKKA). Captured guns were also employed later in the conflict by the German Wehrmacht and the Finnish Army. Post World War II the M-30 saw combat in numerous conflicts of the mid- to late twentieth century in service of other countries' armies, notably in the Middle East.

The BT-7 was the last of the BT series of Soviet cavalry tanks that were produced in large numbers between 1935 and 1940. It was lightly armoured, but reasonably well-armed for the time, and had much better mobility than other contemporary tank designs. 25. Dormition Cathedral

The Assumption or Dormition Cathedral was the main Orthodox church of Kharkiv until the construction of the Annunciation Cathedral in 1901. The cathedral stands on the University Hill by the bank of the Lopan River and dominates the entire downtown. The Neoclassical cathedral bell tower, built in the 1820s and 1830s to a height of 90 meters, remained the tallest building in the city until the 21st century. The cathedral is the only building in Kharkiv visited by almost all Emperors of Russia, starting with Catherine the Great.

Donetsk settlement is a multi-layered archaeological monument of national importance, located on a high cape of the right bank of the Uda River on the territory of the city of Kharkiv. In the deposits of the cultural layer, a variety of archaeological materials were recorded in a wide chronological range from the Bronze Age to the Old Russian time. The settlement consists of a detinets and a posad. In the VIII-XIII centuries. The monument is associated with the chronicle ancient Russian city of Donets, which is mentioned in the Ipatiev Chronicle under 1185 and where, according to the chronicle, the prince of the Novgorod-Seversky principality Igor Svyatoslavich escaped from Polovtsian captivity in the summer of 1185 or 1186. It is listed in the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine by category — of national importance, by type — archaeological, has a security number — 200001-N.

The Monument to the Founders of Kharkiv is a monumental building to the founders of Kharkiv, donated by the mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov for the day of the city. It was established on August 22, 2004 to the 350th anniversary of the founding of the city. Located at the beginning of Nauki Avenue at the corner with Independence Avenue. The monument was made by the famous Moscow sculptor Zurab Tsereteli. The opening of the monument was attended by the mayor of Kharkiv Volodymyr Shumilkin, the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Yevhen Kushnarev.

The monument "Fiddler on the Roof" is two monuments on the roofs of buildings in Kharkiv, dedicated to people of creative professions. The first monument was erected in 2003 on the roof of house No. 18 on Constitution Square. In 2017, it was moved to the roof of the Platinum Plaza building (72 Sumska Street), which is owned by the author of the project. In the spring of the same year, a slightly enlarged copy of it was installed in the original place of the monument. The sculptor of both sculptures is the Kharkiv sculptor, People's Artist of Ukraine Seifaddin Gurbanov.

42. Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary also called Assumption Cathedral is the name given to a religious building affiliated with the Latin Catholic Church and is located in the city of Kharkiv, in Kharkiv Oblast in east part of the European country of Ukraine. The temple was built in neo-Gothic style between 1887 and 1892 on Gogol Street. The author of the temple project was a Polish architect, Bolesław Michałowski (1830-1909). He designed about 30 buildings in Kharkiv.

Monument to the Student Battalion Soldiers, officially — Monument to KSU Students — Volunteers of the Student Battalion — is a sculpture in the center of Kharkiv on Freedom Square, dedicated to the feat of students of Gorky Kharkiv University, who enlisted at the very beginning of the Soviet-German war as volunteers in the active army and went to the front in July 1941. The vast majority of students died in battles in the area of Bila Tserkva and during the defense of Moscow in the fall of 1941.

48. Аеро Л-39 «Альбатрос»

The Aero L-39 Albatross is a Soviet-powered training and combat training aircraft of the Czechoslovak aircraft manufacturer Aero Vodochody. The aircraft was intended to replace the Aero L-29 Delfin aircraft. He made his first flight on November 4, 1968. In 1972, it was selected as the main training aircraft (NTL) of the Warsaw Pact member countries. It was mass-produced until 1999. It is in service with more than 30 countries around the world.
