Individual Sights in SuzhouSight 1: Lion Grove Garden
Book Ticket*The Lion Grove Garden is a garden located at 23 Yuanlin Road in Gusu District, Suzhou, Jiangsu, China. The garden is famous for the large and labyrinthine grotto of taihu rocks at its center. The name of the garden is derived from the shape of these rocks, which are said to resemble lions. The garden is recognized with other classical gardens in Suzhou as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Sight 2: Humble Administrator's Garden
Book Ticket*The Humble Administrator's Garden is a Chinese garden in Suzhou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most famous of the gardens of Suzhou. The garden is located at 178 Northeast Street (东北街178号), Gusu District. At 78 mu (亩), it is the largest garden in Suzhou and is considered by some to be the finest garden in all of southern China. In 1997, Humble Administrator's Garden was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a component of the Classical Gardens of Suzhou.
Sight 3: North Temple Pagoda
The Beisi Pagoda or North Temple Pagoda is a Chinese pagoda located at Bao'en Temple in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. The base of the pagoda has an octagonal frame, and the tower rises nine stories in a total height of 76 m (249 ft). The pagoda was once eleven stories tall, but was damaged and reduced to nine stories. Its double eaves and flying corners are similar to that of the Liuhe Pagoda found in Hangzhou. Its base and outside walls are made of brick, the balustrades made of stone, and the eaves and banisters encircling the structure are made of wood.
Sight 4: 张士诚纪功碑
Zhang Shicheng Jigong Monument is located in the pagoda courtyard of Bao'en Temple in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, formerly known as "Longping Statue Monument". Built at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, it is a rare stone inscription of the Yuan Dynasty. In 1957, it was listed as a cultural relics protection unit in Jiangsu Province.
Sight 5: Suzhou Silk Museum
Book Ticket*The Suzhou Silk Museum is a museum in Suzhou, China. It documents the history of silk production and Suzhou embroidery from around 2000 BC. Exhibits include old looms with demonstrations, samples of ancient silk patterns, and an explanation of sericulture. Of major note is a room full of live silk worms, eating mulberry leaves and spinning cocoons. By December, 2009, the live silkworms had been replaced with models.
Sight 6: Five Peaks Garden
Five Peaks Garden or Wufeng Garden is a classical Chinese garden located in Suzhou, China. The original garden dates to the Ming dynasty and was the site of painter Wen Boren's home. In 1979 authorities began restoration of the gardens. Since 2002, the Garden has become a protected area which is maintained by the Suzhou gardens administration. The garden takes its name from five rock peaks which are found on the grounds.
Sight 7: Lingering Garden
Book Ticket*Lingering Garden is a renowned classical Chinese garden, dating back to 1593. It is located at 338 Liuyuan Rd. Suzhou, Jiangsu province, China (留园路338号). The garden is divided into 4 themed sections connected by covered walkways. The central garden encircles a pond and a grotto constructed of yellow stone granite. It was created by the noted artist Zhou Binzhong.
