The Baer Museum is a museum opened in 1976 in Tartu at Veski 4, where materials related to the life and research of Karl Ernst von Baer have been exhibited. Baer lived in this house in the last years of his life. The Baer Museum is owned by the Estonian University of Life Sciences, to which it was transferred to the Institute of Zoology and Botany when it merged with this university.

The sculpture "Vyachesko and Meelis in the Defence of Tartu" is a monument erected in Tartu in 1980 to the characters of Enn Kippel's youth story "Meelis", Meelis the son of Lembitu, the elder of Sakala, and Vyachesko, the former Prince of Koknese, who were killed in the Battle of Tartu in 1224 in a fight with the Germans.
