The Grotto of Massabielle or Massabieille, better known generically as the Grotto of Lourdes, is a Catholic pilgrimage site located in Lourdes, in the French department of Hautes-Pyrénées. It was in this cave that, in 1858, Bernadette Soubirous said that she saw 18 apparitions of the Virgin Mary and that she discovered, on the indications she would have given her, a spring whose water has since been considered miraculous by believers.

The church was built on top of the rock above the Grotto and next to the Basilica of our Lady of the Rosary.
