From a list of 32 name suggestions drawn up by the Bonn Cultural Council, the readers of the General-Anzeiger chose the 16 "heads" that can be seen today in Bonngasse. The first five floor slabs were already installed when the path was opened in 2004, and another eleven in July 2005.
