The Anderten lock, also known as the Hindenburg lock, in Hanover-Anderten overcomes a height difference of 14.70 m between the west and the crest of the Mittelland Canal. At the time of its inauguration in 1928, it was the largest inland lock in Europe.
Sight 2: St. Martin
The Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Martin in Hanover is a church building in the district of Anderten. The choir end of the former chapel is the oldest surviving building in the district and is now a listed building.
Sight 3: Tiergarten
The Hannover Zoo is a 112-hectare park with woodland in the district of Kirchrode in the southeast of Hanover. In the fenced area, visitors can move along paths between free-roaming wild animals. The zoo is one of the oldest game reserves in Germany and was fenced in at the end of the 17th century as a stately hunting ground. Since it became accessible to the population in 1799, it has been a popular recreation and excursion destination for Hanover's urban population.

The Anderten District Cemetery in Hanover, also known as the Anderten Cemetery or Anderten Cemetery, is a former church and now municipal cemetery with an area of around 1.66 hectares. The location of the listed green space in today's Hanover district of Kirchrode is Ostfeldstraße 12.
Sight 5: Zu den heiligen Engeln
Zu den heiligen Engeln is a Catholic parish and church in Hanover-Kirchrode, Lower Saxony, Germany. The church was built in 1964 on a design by Josef Bieling, and was remodeled in 2014. It is now the parish church of a larger parish, serving the district Kirchrode-Bemerode-Wülferode. It belongs to the deanery of Hanover and the Diocese of Hildesheim. The church is dedicated to the angels.
