The Galgeninsel is a peninsula on the shore of Lake Constance near Lindau in the Bay of Reutin in Germany.
Sight 2: Insel Hoy
Hoy is an uninhabited island in Lake Constance in Germany. It lies 400 metres east of the island of Lindau in the Bay of Reutin and 100 metres south of the lakeshore near the mouth of the Oberreitnauer Ach. With an area of 53 square metres it is the smallest island in Lake Constance.
Sight 3: Münster Unserer Lieben Frau
The Minster of Our Lady, also called St. Mary's or until 2002 Collegiate Church, is the Catholic parish church of Lindau in Lake Constance. It is located on the market square, in the eastern area of the island of Lindau.
Sight 4: Lindauer Beweinung
The Lindau Lamentation is a late Gothic panel painting by an artist who is not known by name, who received the emergency name "Master of the Lindau Lamentation" from this work. The picture, created between 1410 and 1420, was painted in egg tempera on coniferous wood and is one of the most important works of Lake Constance Swabian painting of the early 15th century. It is owned by the Municipal Art Collections of the City of Lindau (Lake Constance) and is shown in the permanent exhibition of the City Museum in the Haus zum Cavazzen.
Sight 5: Stadtmuseum Lindau - Haus zum Cavazzen
The Lindau City Museum was located in the baroque town house Zum Cavazzen on the market square of the island of Lindau (Lake Constance). The building has been undergoing extensive renovation since 2018. The collection of exhibits important for the city's history is currently closed and will be completely rethought and redesigned in the coming years.
