The Shaonhi Monument is a monument located in the ruins of Kofu Castle in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture. This monument was built in 1922 (Taisho 11) to convey to future generations the lessons of flood damage and gratitude for Emperor Meiji's gift of royal land in Yamanashi Prefecture to the mountain forests in Yamanashi Prefecture that were devastated by repeated floods such as the great flood of Meiji 40. It is also called the Xieon Tower.
