Individual Sights in EdeSight 1: Johan Willem Friso kazerne
The Johan Willem Friso Barracks or JWF Barracks is a former infantry barracks in the town of Ede in the province of Gelderland. Since 2014, Akoesticum has been located here; a national training centre for the performing arts.
Sight 2: Maurits
The Mauritskazerne is a former infantry barracks in the town of Ede in the province of Gelderland. Until the end of 2010, he was part of the Prins Mauritskazerne barracks complex, which also included the Van Essen barracks, Johan Willem Friso barracks, Arthur Kool barracks and P.L. Bergansius barracks. The main building of the barracks is built in neo-Renaissance style. The architect is probably captain and principal engineer Van Stolk. The building is of the so-called linear type with rear wings. It is a national monument.
Sight 3: De Keetmolen
De Keetmolen is a windmill in Ede, Netherlands. According to the inscription under the sails and the sign at the entrance, the mill was built in 1750. This is incorrect; according to municipal records, the building permit issued in 1856 stated that the mill should be built within two years. The mill was opened in 1858.
Sight 4: Bethelkerk
The Bethel Church in the town of Ede in the province of Gelderland is owned by the Reformed Congregation of Ede (PKN) and is used for church services on Sundays and Christian holidays.
Sight 5: Monument voor Bombardementsslachtoffers
The Monument for Bombing Victims in Ede was erected in memory of the victims of the bombings on 17 September 1944. The monument is located on the Parkweg in Ede-Zuid, at the intersection with the Johannes Bosboomlaan.
