Individual Sights in KaatsheuvelSight 1: Vakantiepark Efteling Loonsche Land
Efteling Loonsche Land is a holiday park within the world of Efteling and opened on 31 May 2017. It is built in dune style. There are three types of cottages: forest huts, dune huts and heather huts. There is also a group accommodation, the sheepfold, and a hotel, the Landhuys.
Sight 2: Vakantiepark Efteling Bosrijk
Bosrijk is a holiday park of the Efteling theme park in the Dutch municipality of Loon op Zand. The holiday park opened on 11 December 2009. It is the replacement for the much larger Droomrijk project, which disappeared from the table in 2004 under pressure from the environmental movement and due to a negative ruling by the Council of State. In addition to the Efteling Hotel, it is possible to spend the night at the Efteling.
Sight 3: Kabouterdorp
The Gnome Village is part of the Fairytale Forest in the Efteling. It was opened at the same time as the forest itself on 31 May 1952 and was expanded in 1972, 1974 and 1980. The village was largely designed by Anton Pieck. The later designs of the extensions are based on designs by Ton van de Ven and Henny Knoet.
Sight 4: Diorama
The Diorama is a miniature world in Efteling amusement park in the Netherlands. The highly detailed mountainous world, or Diorama, was designed by Anton Pieck and opened in 1971, in honour of the 20th birthday of Efteling.
Sight 5: Gondoletta
Gondoletta is a water ride in amusement park Efteling in the Netherlands. It was developed by Intamin ; designed by Ton van de Ven and started operating in 1981.
Sight 6: Pagode
Pagoda is an unobtrusive variation of an observation tower in the Efteling amusement park in the Netherlands. It was designed by Ton van de Ven and started operating in 1987.
Sight 7: Wensbron
The Wensbron is a small attraction in the Dutch theme park Efteling. At the center of the Wishing Well is a bronze-colored statue of a large fish. The small attraction was opened on 21 May 1985 by Princess Juliana and Anton Pieck.
Sight 8: Kinderspoor
The Children’s Railway is a pedal train attraction in the Efteling amusement park.
Sight 9: Halve Maen
Halve Maen is a Pirate Ship ride at Efteling theme park in the Netherlands. Designed by Ton van de Ven and manufactured by Intamin, it opened its doors in 1982.
Sight 10: De Oude Tufferbaan
Tin Lizzies is a car ride in the amusement park Efteling in the Netherlands. The attraction was designed by Joop Geesink and built by Mack Rides, and started operating in 1984.
Sight 11: Python
Python is a double-loop corkscrew roller coaster in the Efteling amusement park in the Netherlands. It opened as the largest steel roller coaster on the European mainland.
Sight 12: Joris en de Draak
Joris en de Draak is a wooden racing coaster in the theme park Efteling, based on the legend of Saint George.
Sight 13: De Vliegende Hollander
De Vliegende Hollander is a combination water coaster and dark ride at the Efteling amusement park in the Netherlands. The ride is based on the legend of Dutch man of war, the Flying Dutchman.
Sight 14: Baron 1898
Baron 1898 is a Dive Coaster produced by the Swiss manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard located in the Efteling in Kaatsheuvel, The Netherlands. It opened on July 1, 2015. The coaster's soundtrack was created by the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra.
