The Nativity of St. John the Baptist Church, located at 2 Piața Libertății, Piatra Neamț, Romania, is a Romanian Orthodox church. Established by Prince Stephen the Great of Moldavia, it was built in 1497-1498 as part of his royal court in the town. The bell tower dates to the year after the church was completed, and is a symbol of the city. Both church and tower are well preserved examples of late 15th century Moldavian religious architecture.

The Ethnography Museum in Piatra-Neamț is a county museum in Piatra-Neamț, located in Freedom Square no. 1. It depicts aspects of the traditional peasant house on the Bistrita Valley, the Romanian folk costume in the area, the main crafts in the sub -Carpathian region of Moldova. Of the pieces exposed by the reference are: massive furniture, stove, rich wool fabrics. The base of the collection is constituted since the 1960s, but only after decades later the unit becomes a self -contained one. The basic exhibition was restored in 2013. The beauty and diversity of the material allowed a new theme "the seasons of the village", completed - for entering the rural atmosphere from the end of the century. XIX - by the reconstruction of a peasant housing interior. Based on the popular calendar, the structure of the exhibition allowed to enhance the main occupations but also of the great holidays over the year, the novelty element consisting of marking elements of spiritual life, for the introduction of the visitor into the universe of the peasant. The objects are exposed either in their real hypostasis, pursuing a reconstruction as close to the truth, or emphasizing their beauty given by simplicity or ornamental compositions. The picture of the village is completed with document photographs, made in the interwar period by the great lover of the Romanian peasant, photographer of the Royal Court of Romania, Adolph Chevallier.
