Individual Sights in ŽilinaSight 1: Bábkové divadlo Žilina
The Žilina Puppet Theatre is a cultural and artistic institution, a professional, repertoire theatre with a permanent artistic ensemble, whose main subject of activity is to create conditions for the creation and dissemination of puppetry for children, youth and adult audiences. It is based in Žilina on Kuzmányho Street and its founder is the Žilina Self-Governing Region.
Sight 2: Rosenfeldov palác
Rosenfeld Palace is a building in Žilina at 28 Hurbanova Street. It was built in the Art Nouveau style in 1907 according to the Žilina architect Mikuláš Rauter. Its architecture is reminiscent of Vienna's Belvedere and is considered the most beautiful building in the city. Since 2009, it has been a national cultural monument.

Sight 3: Kostol sv. Barbory
The Church of St. The Church of St. Barbara, also known as the Franciscan Church, is a Roman Catholic church in Žilina. At present, together with the adjacent monastery building, it is owned by the Order of Friars Minor Franciscans, but it is administered by the Convent of St. Martin de Porres in Žilina of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans). In terms of architecture, it is one of the important Baroque buildings in Žilina. Together with the adjacent building of the convent, it was entered on November 5, 1963 under the numbers 1394/1 and 1394/2 in the central list of monuments.
Sight 4: Žilinský hrad
Žilina or Žilina Castle is a defunct castle in Žilina, the remains of which were found only in 2008. The first preserved written mention of the castle is from 1318, when the castle was owned by Matúš Čák Trenčiansky. However, the castle can also be older. The last time the castle was mentioned in writing was in 1457, it ceased to exist in the 15th century. Historian Richard Marsina claims that the then owners of Žilina, the Detrik family, began to build Žilina Castle after 1270, for fortification and protection from attacks. However, the history of the castle is not unambiguous and there are many hypotheses about its history and significance.
Sight 5: Katedrála Najsvätejšej Trojice
The Church of the Holy Trinity, since February 2008 Holy Trinity Cathedral is a Roman Catholic church in Žilina, Slovakia. It is one of the town's most significant monuments. Together with the Burian's Tower it creates the typical skyline of the town.
