The mother parish of Nuestra Señora de la Concepción is the best example of the Baroque in the Canary Islands (Spain). It is located in the town of La Orotava, on the island of Tenerife. It is one of the most lavish temples on the island, which is why it is popularly called the "Basilica or Cathedral of La Orotava" due to its composition and dimensions, despite not being any of these. Its most characteristic element is its dome, whose design is inspired by the dome of the Cathedral of Florence in Italy.
