The Kursaal is a theatre-auditorium located on Passeig de Pere III in Manresa (Bages), in the heart of the city. Andreu Cabot i Puig, a businessman with a long experience in the film industry, was the promoter of the construction of the building at the beginning of the twentieth century. He commissioned the elaboration of the plans to the Manresa Josep Firmat i Serramalera. This architect chose to design a building of classical composition, in line with the Noucentista postulates in force at the time. Its rehabilitation allowed it to be reopened in 2007 with a large hall, with more than 800 seats, and another small, multipurpose room, with capacity for about 200 people. It is a work protected as a cultural asset of local interest.
