The Museum Kleines Klingental in Basel is located in the foundation building "Kleines Klingental" of the former nunnery Klingental from 1274 and was founded in 1938/39 as the "City and Minster Museum". The museum houses the collection of original sculptures from the Basel Cathedral, which were replaced by copies during restorations at the cathedral. The museum also houses a model of the city of Basel as it looked in the 17th century and a model of the Klingental monastery in the 16th century. The museum is managed by the Cantonal Monument Preservation of Basel-Stadt.
