The Botanischer Garten Gera, also known as the Botanischer Garten der Museum für Naturkunde Gera, is a botanical garden located on the grounds of the Museum für Naturkunde der Stadt Gera at Nicolaistrasse 6, Gera, Thuringia, Germany. It is open daily without charge.
Sight 2: Simsonbrunnen
The Simsonbrunnen is a fountain in the middle of the Gera market. The fountain figure represents the biblical lion slayer Samson.
Sight 3: Stadt-Apotheke
The Stadtapotheke is a pharmacy in the historic old town of Gera. It is located at the junction of Kleine Kirchstraße at the northwestern corner of the market. It is known for its richly decorated bay window.
Sight 4: Stadtmuseum
The City Museum is one of four municipal museums in the city of Gera. It deals with the history of the city. It is located at Museumsplatz 1, in the building of the former prison and orphanage – right in the centre of the city.
Sight 5: St. Trinitatis
The Trinitatiskirche is a Protestant church in Heinrichstraße in the city center of Gera. Originally, the church was located at the northeastern end of the city cemetery. This became the property of the city in 1900 and was closed in 1910. From 1920, the cemetery was transformed into a city park, today's Park der Jugend.
