Sight 5: 't Slot

't Slot is a flour mill located at Punt 17 in Gouda. The mill was built in 1832 to replace an earlier octagonal tower mill that was destroyed by fire in 1831. It is the third mill on the site where the castle of the Lords of Ter Gouw once stood. The first mill on that site dates from 1581. The municipality of Gouda has owned the mill since 1962. From 2003 to 2005 't Slot was restored.
