The monument to the Martyrs of Freedom, also known as the monument to the Coloraos or Pingurucho, is a commemorative column erected in the Spanish city of Almeria, located in the city's Plaza de la Constitución. This monument recalls the episode of the Ominous Decade in which a group of liberal fighters, from Gibraltar and dressed in the British navy uniform, of a characteristic red color and that would eventually make them known as the Coloraos, arrived in the city of Almeria in August 1824 to make a pronouncement against the absolutism of the time and a return to the Constitution of 1812. The monument that can be seen today is a replica of the original, which was destroyed in 1943.

It was built by The Alquife Mines and Railway Company Limited for the transport of iron ore from the mines of Alquife, linking the station with the port. In 1998 it was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest for being an example of iron architecture in Andalusia and for its ethnographic interest.
